Steelers Undrafted Free Agency Tracker 2014

Two quarterbacks and a wide receiver from Toledo? There you have it. Steelers sign 6-foot-4 left-handed quarterback Terrance Owens to join fellow alum Bruce Gradkowski and Lance Moore.

- University of Buffalo cornerback Najja Johnson has signed a UDFA deal with the Steelers, according to SB Nation's Buffalo Bulls site Bull Run.

- Ohio State RB/KR Jordan Hall and (Hall did not sign, per Steelers PR manager Burt Lauten). UAB OT Kaycee Ike have reportedly signed UDFA deals with the Steelers.

- Rock 94.7 is reporting Wisconsin DE Ethan Hemer signed a UDFA with the Steelers. Big guy, good movement, I didn't see a whole lot of him, but if Beau Allen was drafted, Hemer probably should have been.

- Another zone-blocker...if the Steelers weren't gonna run zone often, they wouldn't bother. He's a local guy, too, so that's always something to root for.

- Now we're talkin'...athletic pass rusher, generally unknown but good potential. These are the kinds of players the Steelers need to bring in and in mass quantity.

- It looks like Blanchflower has some competition.

One interesting note of Waters, he was Michael Sam's roommate at Missouri, and raised a stir when he questioned the sincerity of some of his teammates who said they supported Sam. As far as football goes, Waters is a high-character guy, good athleticism but stuck in a tweener role in Missouri. He's definitely a player to keep an eye on in training camp.
