The last time the Steelers had the 15th overall pick (2007), they selected speedy linebacker Lawrence Timmons.

2014 NFL Draft
Timmons, meet Ryan Shazier, your new teammate.
The Steelers selected Shazier with their most recent first round pick, greatly increasing their speed at the linebacker position and filling a spot many believe was a need heading into this draft.
Darqueze Dennard, one of the top cornerbacks in this draft, was available when the Steelers selected Shazier, a player mentioned as a possibility for the spot, but a long-odds prediction.
Shazier's best asset is his explosive athleticism. He reportedly ran a sub-4.4 40 yard dash at his Pro Day last March, and came into the Combine weighing 237 pounds - up from the 225 range he played at in Ohio State.
The Steelers will pick next at No. 46 overall, the 14th pick of the second round. They will still need a cornerback or two and a wide receiver for this year's haul.
