2014 NFL Mock Draft: Steelers select Alabama LB C.J. Mosley

Here's a hint, there's a lot of Mosley on BTSC today...and judging by his film, it may not be a bad idea to just never mention his name again...we wouldn't want to jinx anything.

Kevin C. Cox

Three reasons we're highlighting The Sports Bank's most recent mock draft today.

First, because they mixed in pictures of cheerleaders from the respective schools of each player taken (except for Notre Dame, which cruelly has a picture of Louis Nix III instead).

Second, because their selection of Alabama linebacker C.J. Mosley is realistic and could be quite a big benefit to a defense that needs to rebuild in multiple areas of the game.

And third, we're running a breakdown on Mosley at 10 a.m. ET. So a little bit of self-promotion won't kill anyone here on this glorious Friday of temperatures above zero (all the way into the 20s, in fact).

Their write-up:

ESPN Draft expert Mel Kiper Jr. ranks him as the sixth best prospect on his big board. "a guy who has done a tremendous job from a production standpoint, he’s consistent, he shows up every week, he studies.

For a NFL Defensive Coordinator, he’s someone who can come in and cover and so much on the field and play every down," Kiper said. And what’s a 2014 NFL mock draft without the Steelers taking a linebacker? What’s a NFL Draft without the Steelers taking a LB somewhere?

And if you like that, just wait until you read what Thirty has to say about him...the word "Kuechly" came up...and look through the first 14 picks of this draft. Don't think it's impossible for Mosley to fall that far.
