Pittsburgh Steelers Training Camp Injury Report: Stephon Tuitt joins the injury list

As there were several Pittsburgh Steelers returning to practice Monday, there were also some fresh faces who were added to the injury report.

The Pittsburgh Steelers are nearing the end of the 50th training camp at Saint Vincent College in Latrobe, PA, and the team still has many lingering injury issues as they prepare for their third preseason game against the Green Bay Packers this Sunday at Heinz Field.

The most recent news on the injury front is the addition of defensive end Stephon Tuitt to the list of walking wounded. Mike Tomlin stated his injury is minor and is listed as day-to-day. The defensive line has seen several injuries so far this camp. Clifton Geathers was waived injured earlier in camp, Daniel McCullers has been nursing a hamstring injury and now Tuitt's injury has the depth being tested along the line.

With Tuitt out of the lineup, rookie L.T. Walton saw snaps with the first team at practice Monday

Vince Williams (hamstring) and Ross Ventrone (ankle) were running on a side field during practice Monday. Good news for both players, who are trying to work their way back into practice and the lineup on game days. Daniel McCullers, who also was nursing a hamstring injury, returned to work on some individual drills, but was held out of team drills.

Complete list of players who were not active during Monday's practice: Stephon Tuitt, Steve McLendon, Ross Ventrone, Josh Harris, Cameron Clear, Lawrence Timmons, Vince Williams, C.J. Goodwin.

Bruce Gradkowski participated in the workout for the second straight day, which is good news for the quarterback who is returning from the PUP list after shoulder injury. His back-to-back practices show there wasn't a setback for Gradkoswki. He is aiming at returning to the playing field in the team's 4th preseason game against the Buffalo Bills.

The Steelers have a scheduled day off Tuesday, and will return to practice Wednesday at 2:55 p.m., and it is open to the public.
