Here's a list of all the notable free agents still available as of June 1. The Steelers have a few former players on this list, probably most importantly, defensive end Brett Keisel, outside linebacker James Harrison and wide receiver Santonio Holmes.
Whether the team decides to add another veteran player or two in free agency after June 1 is up in the air. Odds are they'll bring someone in, and odds are it won't be on June 2, but the Steelers have strayed away from their modus operendi the last few months. Depth and experience within the defensive end and outside linebacker positions can still be fairly questioned.
