In what could end up being the last highly visible coaching change among the AFC North, Steelers running backs coach earned a second interview with the Baltimore Ravens for their offensive coordinator position, vacated by Jim Caldwell upon being hired as the head coach of the Detroit Lions.
Source confirms ravens first interview with steelers rbs coach kirby wilson for oc job went very well he's set for 2nd meeting friday
— Aaron Wilson (@RavensInsider) January 23, 2014
Wilson has been with the Steelers since 2007, helping create what has generally been a successful position group for the Steelers. Working under Bruce Arians and then Todd Haley, Wilson has worked multiple undrafted free agent running backs into starting and contributory roles with the team. His experience speaks well to his knowledge and could be enough to earn him a job under Ravens coach John Harbaugh.
The Ravens' team site also identified former Redskins offensive coordinator Kyle Shanahan as a candidate receiving a second interivew. The Ravens' current wide receivers coach, Jim Hostler, should be considered a front-runner as well.
