Steelers inactives for Week 6 vs. the Cleveland Browns

Following a week in which Shamarko Thomas couldn't practice due to an injured hamstring, he is the only new Steelers player to join the inactive list.

With safety Shamarko Thomas unable to play this week, Ross Ventrone takes his place on the active roster after he was promoted from the practice squad later in the week.

Quarterback Landry Jones, nose tackle Daniel McCullers, and rookie receiver Martavis Bryant won't be given a hat for the sixth game this season. Chris Hubbard once again will be inactive as well since Ramon Foster is back from injury for a second week in a row.

Wesley Johnson also would have been on the inactive list if not for being cut to provide room for Ventrone on the 53 man roster.

Also, both corner Ike Taylor and linebacker Ryan Shazier remain inactive. But, Shazier could play in coming weeks as he practiced in a limited capacity this week.

Other than Thomas, the Steelers are in good standing as far as injuries are concerned. They hope that won't change as they look to defeat the Cleveland Browns for the second time this season.
