Reggie Wayne out Sunday vs. Steelers

The Steelers' defense will catch a break as the Indy star will miss his first game of the year on Sunday in Pittsburgh.

Charles LeClaire-US PRESSWIRE

Colts' wide receiver Reggie Wayne will miss Sunday's contest in Pittsburgh against the Steelers, marking his first missed game of the season. Although Wayne is not the star he once was, he's a huge component to the Colts' passing game and has accounted for 38 catches and 434 yards so far on the season.

The Steelers will now be able to focus more attention on Colts' speedster T.Y. Hilton as they attempt to shut down star quarterback Andrew Luck. The Colts could also be without running back Trent Richardson, who's listed as questionable for the game. But Richardson's loss would be far easier to overcome with Ahmad Bradshaw running well so far this season.

The Steelers take on the Colts in Pittsburgh on Sunday, looking to win back-to-back games for the first time this season and possibly gaining some momentum heading into a rivalry game next week against Baltimore. The next two games will show Steelers fans a lot about what this team's prospects are for this season, and playing the Colts without Reggie Wayne has made the task of securing a needed win easier for the Black-and-Gold.
