Inactives for @Steelers: QB Jones, WR JBrown, CB Taylor, SS Thomas, CB Webb, T Gilbert, NT McLendon
— Bob Labriola (@BobLabriola) October 26, 2014
The 2014 draft class continues to surface once again this week.
Starting inside linebacker Ryan Shazier will return to the lineup Sunday after he injured his knee in Week 3 against the Carolina Panthers. Linebacker Sean Spence has done a solid job in the rookie's spot, but the speed and talent Shazier possesses will be an upgrade over Spence.
Another member of the 2014 draft class, nose tackle Daniel McCullers, will be in action once again this week with starting nose tackle Steve McLendon out for a second straight week. McCullers logged 10 snaps in his first NFL action against the Texans.
After a solid NFL debut in which rookie receiver Martavis Bryant caught his first career touchdown, receiver Justin Brown won't be given a hat against the Colts.
Tackle Marcus Gilbert suffered a concussion vs. the Texans and it appears he wasn't able to fully recover from the head injury. Mike Adams will start in his place at right tackle and guard Chris Hubbard will take his place on the active list.
Quarterback Landry Jones is inactive once again Sunday and that won't change unless either Ben Roethlisberger or Bruce Gradkowski is injured. Cornerback B.W. Webb joins Jones as a healthy scratch.
Defensive backs Ike Taylor and Shamarko Thomas both are out against the Colts as they remain injured. The good news for the Steelers is that both practiced on a limited basis this week, but Taylor is still out indefinitely.
