Colts vs. Steelers second half open thread

Joe Sargent

If you expected the Steelers to score five touchdowns in the first half, please stand up.

Oh shut up, you did not. Sit down.

The Steelers offense exploded for four first-half touchdowns, all passes from Ben Roethlisberger and got an interception return for a touchdown from cornerback William Gay to power the Steelers to a 35-20 halftime lead.

They will get the ball to start the second half.

Roethlisberger's four touchdown passes in the half tie his second-highest total in his career. Two of those passes went to Antonio Brown, including a ridiculous 6-yard catch that will be added to Brown's extensive highlight reel.

Another came off a beautiful double-move from Markus Wheaton to start the game, and a quick throw to Martavis Bryant in the red zone. It was Wheaton's first career touchdown and Bryant's second in two games.

The Colts have gotten a few big plays from their own explosive passing game, and it appears this one, despite the large Steelers lead, could end up being close. Andrew Luck has thrown some excellent passes, and unless the Steelers can get significant pressure as they have been, Luck will come back. That's a guarantee.
