Steelers vs. Falcons second half open thread

With the exception of another deep touchdown pass, the Steelers have held strong through the first half and take a 20-7 lead into the locker room. The Steelers will kick to open the second half.

William Gay set the Steelers' single-season defensive touchdown record with an interception return in the first half, pacing the Steelers, who take a 13-7 lead into the locker room.

Pittsburgh will kick off to start the third quarter.

The Steelers are playing well in all three phases of the game, the only blemish being a 17-yard  touchdown pass from Falcons quarterback Matt Ryan to wide receiver Devin Hester. The play was set up off a roughing the passer penalty on Steelers outside linebacker Jason Worilds, who came off Ryan's right side and hammered him, leaving him dazed for a spell on the turf.

The Steelers would go 80 yards on 12 plays resulting in a 1-yard touchdown run from Le'Veon Bell to cap off the first half. Antonio Brown extended his NFL record streak of games with five catches and 70 yards to 16 games on a phenomenal sideline grab to set up the touchdown.

Ben Roethlisberger finished the half well, but with a Falcons defense largely stopping the Steelers' rushing attack so far, it may be up to the Steelers' passing offense to maintain their lead.
