The Steelers and Ravens won't have to wait long to renew their rivalry.
According to NFL.com the AFC North rivals will meet each other in the first Thursday Night Football game of the season, Week 2, at Baltimore.
The Steelers and Ravens split two games last season, with the Steelers losing at Baltimore...on Thursday night.
It seems fair, though. The best rivalry in football should definitely play on three days' rest in Week 2.
Both the Ravens and Steelers missed the playoffs together for the first time since 1999. The two franchises have won three Super Bowls and four AFC Championships in that time. Both appear to have hit something of a slide in different portions of the season last year. The Steelers lost their first four games only to rebound and miss the postseason wide right. Baltimore dropped their final two games after sitting in the lead for the last wild card spot at 8-6.
