Deone Bucannon will be visiting with the Steelers today. Would be a great situation for him to work with Polamalu and eventually take over.

Turron Davenport of Pro Football Central tweeted Wednesday the Steelers met with the prospective strong safety Deone Bucannon out of Washington State.
We're not venturing into this report as if it's coming from Dan Rooney himself, to put it mildly. If nothing else, though, it's worth a discussion. I'm struggling to remember the last Steelers player out of Washington State. Even if this isn't a legit report, he's an intriguing player to look at from a draft perspective.
The Steelers have reportedly met with Calvin Pryor in the past as well, and the selection of Shamarko Thomas last year and the signing of Mike Mitchell this year, the team seems particularly interested in finding another safety at some point in the draft.
Some of this could be due to the increase in multiple receiver and tight end packages, personnel groupings that can press a team's depth to counter both coverage ability and run support. It's particularly important in hurry-up offensive situations, which is also something many teams run today.
At 6-foot-1, 211 pounds, Bucannon is an aggressive hitter and excellent athlete. He was a finalist for the Jim Thorpe award this season.
