The Steelers won't wait until June 2 to sign a few members of their 2014 NFL Draft class.

It appears the Steelers won't wait on signing at least some rookies to contracts before June 2.

Multiple outlets are reporting the team inked nose tackle Daniel McCullers and tight end Rob Blanchflower to contracts, fitting both in because neither's salary cap charges will exceed the 51st highest on the team. It was expected the Steelers would wait until the $8 million from LaMarr Woodley's contract comes off the books to sign their rookie class.

That could still be the case for the larger contracts they'll be giving to their top picks. Post Gazette reporter Ed Bouchette Tweeted the team would have to wait until after June 1 to sign their top three picks.

All rookie contracts are four-year deals. According to Steve Alan of TheSteelersFans.com, the total value of McCullers' contract is $2,298,680 with a signing bonus of $78,680. Blanchflower will receive $59,400 in a signing bonus, and has a total value of $2,279,400 over his contract.

Alan also reported the cap charges for McCullers and Blanchflower are $439,670 and $434,850, neither exceeding Derrick Moye's $495,000, which is the 51st highest on the team currently.

The Steelers just concluded their rookie minicamp this weekend, and begin Phase Three of the offseason program May 27.
