The Steelers waived/injured offensive lineman Bryant Browning Monday, two days after he separated a shoulder on a fumble return against Buffalo in the preseason.
If Bryant goes unclaimed on waivers, he'll revert to the Steelers' injured-reserve list.
The Steelers also released wide receiver James Shaw in an unrelated roster move. Shaw was picked up a week ago when the Steelers released WR Danny Coale.
The team signed offensive lineman Graham Pocic and cornerback Dayonne Nunley, an undrafted free agent out of Miami University and a Pittsburgh native. He had initially signed with San Diego after the 2014 NFL Draft.
Pocic was waived by Chicago this past week after being undrafted out of the University of Illinois.
It wouldn’t appear either player is competing for a spot on the team’s 53-man roster, but a spot on the team’s practice squad is certainly possible.
The Steelers are on a short week and are in preparations to travel to Philadelphia to take on the Eagles Thursday. The starters are expected to play up to a full half of action. Pittsburgh is 1-1 in two preseason games.
