The problems the defense is experiencing is scheme. LeBeau is no longer the defensive genius he may have once been. The blitz packages are no longer confusion the other teams. This has been a problem for a couple of seasons. The opposing quarterbacks and offensive lineman seem extremely comfortable in being able to set their protection against the Steelers. This is why you have guys like Brian Hoyer looking like Joe Willie against the defense. First the excuse was the personnel had become to slow. Now the beat writers say the their personnel is fast but undersized. The object is to adjust your scheme and play calling to put the players in position to make plays. It's time to give Keith Butler the reigns he has so patiently waited for! GO STEELERS!!
