The Pittsburgh Steelers aren't ones to shy away from finding small school talent for the NFL. Whether it was Nate Washington from Tiffin University, or even Howard Jones from Shepherd University the team isn't scared to give small school talent a shot. With that said, It should come as no surprise to anyone who closely follows the team that they are bringing in FCS standout DE/OLB Kyle Emanuel from North Dakota State for a pre-draft visit.
Emanuel had a dominant Senior season for the Bisons with 19.5 sacks and played extremely well against top 10 teams in 2014 registering 10 sacks in 8 games against high-end opponents. Emanuel had a solid NFL Scouting Combine running the 40-yard dash in 4.77 seconds and 27 reps on the 225-pound bench press.
Emanuel was a standout with North Dakota State and received All-American honors for his efforts. Whether he gets his chance with the Steelers or another NFL franchise will be decided at the NFL Draft on April 30th.
