Steelers to meet with Pitt OL T.J. Clemmings Wednesday

Pittsburgh will meet with local product and highly athletic offensive lineman T.J. Clemmings Wednesday.

The ink was barely dry from a series of tweets from Tribune Review reporter Mark Kaboly displaying the amount of Steelers coaches on hand for Pitt's pro day Tuesday when he reported offensive lineman T.J. Clemmings is set to meet with the team.

The Steelers will host Clemmings in the shortest visit with a potential employer he'll have this draft season.

He's projected to be a first round pick, sometimes in the top half of the first round, and despite questions over whether he has a set position yet.

His athleticism suggests a future at left tackle may be possible, but shifting him inside to guard may be in line as he continues to grow as a player.

Clemmings hasn't played football for very long, and started his collegiate career as a defensive player. Given the fluidity at which he moves, he makes for an intriguing tackle prospect, and considering his proximity to the Steelers, a visit makes sense both from a logistical perspective as well as him being a legitimate prospect.
