Two rounds down in the 2015 NFL Draft and the Pittsburgh Steelers have selected Alvin 'Bud' Dupree from the University of Kentucky with their first overall draft pick and CB Senquez Golson from Ole Miss with their second round draft pick. They continued their selections in the third round and rounded out the Friday night portion of the draft by selecting WR Sammie Coates.

Coates is a speedy receiver who played his college football at Auburn. Coates will likely be competing for a roster spot with Darrius Heyward-Bey for the fourth receiver on the roster. Despite being known for his lack of rapport with his quarterback, Coates more importantly struggled with the drops in 2014. People might not realize this as the wide receiver also had an astonishing 20.9 yards per reception average for the Tigers as well.

Coates has a great combination of size, speed and strength and could be yet another weapon for Ben Roethlisberger in Todd Haley's offensive system. Coates will be given the chance to shine as Spring workouts continue, minicamp ensues and training camp kicks off this summer. Coates might have some blemishes, but the young man can sure go deep.

The Steelers still have five draft picks remaining in the draft and will continue with Rounds 4, 5, 6 and 7 on Saturday. The Steelers will continue to try and draft to address some glaring team needs, while searching for those late round gems GM Kevin Colbert is so synonymous with. Fans should remember Antonio Brown was drafted in the 6th round.
