Sometimes fans of an NFL franchise can look at players and think they are spoiled for the amount of money they make in a game check, or in a signing bonus. Often times, they forget about the players who don't get drafted and sign much smaller contracts just for a chance to play football in the NFL.
Sometimes, just sometimes, you see a player who pairs the joy of entering the NFL ranks with the same joy of being signed by their favorite team. This is what happened when the Pittsburgh Steelers called Kansas State lineman B.J. Finney and signed him to an undrafted free agent rookie deal.
"I stand in front of you today as proof that dreams do come true. I am under contract with the Pittsburgh Steelers."
After those words were spoken, the room erupts. Finney grew up in a house which rooted for the Steelers, and at this point it is safe to say all of Steelers Nation is now rooting for Finney to make this team.
