The Pittsburgh Steelers have made their first wave of cuts from 90 players to 75, and when they host the Carolina Panthers at Heinz Field Thursday, it will be those last bubble players' last chance to prove their worth in their attempt to make the Steelers' 53-man roster. At worst, if they don't catch on in the Steel City, they are hopeful to possibly catch on with another NFL franchise, or be signed to the team's practice squad to ensure employment for a season.

The Steelers' starters won't play hardly any, if at all, but it will give players like Michael Vick and Landry Jones a chance to battle it out for the backup quarterback position. Jobs can be won or lost in the preseason finale, and the desperation displayed is always something to watch.
