The Pittsburgh Steelers are prepared to face the San Francisco 49ers Sunday at Heinz Field, but as is NFL policy, not all 53 players on the roster will be given a helmet. Some decisions for the team are easy to make, while others have fans wondering what the team might be thinking when it comes to the inactive list.
Here are the Steelers inactives for the Week 2 game vs. the 49ers:
#Steelers inactives: QB L. Jones, WR Coates, CB C. Allen, C/G Hubbard, TE James, DE Walton and DE Lyons.

Tyler Murphy gets the nod over rooke Sammie Coates for a second straight week while fellow rookie Jesse Hames joins him on the inactive list. Landry Jones joins Hubbard, Walton and Lyons in the normal scratches this week.
Cortez Allen looked like he had worked his way through a knee injury this week when he returned to practice, but is a scratch today from the roster which leans to the notion that we can look to see more of the new additions in Brandon Boykin and Ross Cockrell.
