Steelers place WR Eli Rogers on waived/injured list; sign WR Kenzel Doe

The Steelers made a roster move Wednesday as they waive/injured list WR Eli Rogers and sign WR Kenzel Doe.

The Pittsburgh Steelers continue to move players due to injury on their 90-man roster. The most recent player to be placed on the waived/injured list is undrafted rookie free agent Eli Rogers. To fill Rogers' spot on the roster, the team also signed WR Kenzel Doe of Wisconsin.

Doe is viewed as more of a return man than wide receiver, but the news of Rogers being waived is certainly disappointing news as the young wide out was slated to possibly have a spot on the team's practice squad before injuring his foot on Tuesday. If Rogers clears waivers, he could then be added to the teams injured reserve list.

Doe will be viewed as a long shot to make the team, but his skill set isn't the same as Rogers'. Doe only had 14 receptions in 2014, with 52 returns. The Steelers will certainly give him a chance to turn heads as a return man this Sunday and throughout the preseason.
