For those of us who care about SPARQ rankings, and there is some evidence that the Steelers' Front Office does, according to a report on this site last year by Neal Coolong, SPARQ rakings have been published for several positions of need for the Steelers including Edge Rushers, Defensive Linemen, &Tight Ends. You can look at the ranking for yourself here. Several interesting takeaways include:
--Owamagbe Odighizuwa scores very well here, nearly on the level of Vic Beasley and Bud Dupree. Do these scores, added to his already very good tape, make him worthy of pick #22?
--Late round small school OLB prospects Davis Tull and Kyle Emmanuel also scored very well on SPARQ score. With Emmanuel coming in for a visit, has the Steelers hand been tipped as to who they'll be looking at on Day 3?
--BTSC sleeper favorite Jesse James ranked third among Tight Ends in SPARQ score, scoring very well in the Bench Press and Vertical Jump categories and average to slightly above average in every other category. Does this get you more hyped about him as a prospect?
