1) Red Zone: Achilles Heel of Offense
Haley knows there is room for improvement in the red zone, saying the team cost them 30-35 points halfway through last season, per PennLive.com. He stated the obvious, but it was an obvious something fans need to hear, "When we get in tight, when football gets tough, we have to get the ball in the end zone." Yes you do, Steelers offense. Yes you do.
Haley said a big emphasis this spring and summer will be improving in the red zone, especially trips to red zone that did not net points.

2) Landry Jones: On the Struggle Bus
According to Haley, Jones has been "a little up and down, but working hard" in OTAs. Landry Jones has been a polarizing player, and Haley's comments do little to assuage the controversy. Will Tajh Boyd replace Landry Jones as the third-string quarterback? Who knows, but Landry is far from a lock at number 3. BTSC's Christopher Carter wrote about this personnel issue earlier in the week.
Haley on No. 3 QB Landry Jones: "Landry is a little up and down but working hard."

3) Running Backs: No Worries
Haley said he feels better about depth at RB than when LaGarrette "I leave games early when I feel underappreciated" Blount. Though Le'Veon Bell will likely be sitting out the first three games, Haley seems relaxed about the situation at Running Back. With DeAngelo Williams on the roster, the situation is certainly not dire, and Haley seems relieved that Blount is gone.
Todd Haley said he feels much better about his backup RB situation this yr than last yr when there was no warning of 27 exiting way he did.
