Though Steelers star WR Antonio Brown is at the peak of his career, he is expanding his brand off the field this offseason. He had a cameo on the season premier of HBO's new show Ballers, a new show about life in the NFL during which he flashed his trademark smile and a lot of bling (in the form of about 20 pounds of gold necklace- or at least it seemed that way).
Last night, Brown represented the AFC on Celebrity Family Feud along with Terrell Suggs, Antonio Gates, DeMarcus Ware, and Nick Mangold. His team played against NFC representatives Vernon Davis, Eddie Lacy, Matt Forte, Thomas Davis and Calais Campbell.
The AFC squad played to raise funds for the Players Assistance Trust, of which former Steeler Charlie Batch is the senior captain. I profiled the Trust in an article about the former Steelers backup a few weeks ago. The organization provides valuable assistance to players transitioning into life after the NFL.
The AFC squad won. You can catch highlights of the show here if you missed the original airing.
