Dangerfield had been a practice squad player in 2014 after being an undrafted free agent with the Buffalo Bills. He returns to the roster as the Steelers continue to deal with the injury bug on the defensive side of the ball.

Lewis was an undrafted free agent which the Steelers signed back in January in order to give him a shot at bolstering their secondary depth. He gave excitement to fans as being a prospect for the team because his reputation was for being a hard-hitter and an intimidating force on defense.
