Although the NFL is buzzing with Free Agency news, the majority, if not all, of the NFL teams are still hot on the prospect trail attending specific Pro Days and preparing themselves for the upcoming 2016 NFL Draft. There are NFL scouts from almost all 32 teams at every major Pro Day, but when the head coach and company attend, they are looking closely at one, or more, prospects.

It should come as no surprise that Mike Tomlin and company are in attendance at Clemson's Pro Day.

The Steelers have shown interest in a couple players from one the best NCAA teams in 2015. They sat down for a one-on-one interview with both Mackensie Alexander and Shaq Lawson at the NFL Scouting Combine. Both players would certainly be on their radar with the 25th overall draft pick in early April.

At these specific Pro Days, most athletes run through the same tests they did at the Combine, in hopes of improving their scores to potential suitors watching. Due to the Steelers need at cornerback, Alexander was certainly trying to put on a show for the scouts.

At the Combine, Alexander only performed the 225-pound bench press test, completing 11 repetitions, but did not run due to a lingering hamstring injury. He ran at his Pro Day, and showed some decent numbers in all speed and agility drills

The Steelers will certainly continue to do their homework on a multitude of prospects, but it will be interesting to see if they bring in both Alexander and Lawson to Pittsburgh for a more intimate pre-draft visit.
