Grading the Pittsburgh Steelers first week of 2016 NFL Free Agency

The Pittsburgh Steelers made plenty of moves, but how would you grade their efforts in Free Agency so far?

Mark J. Rebilas-USA TODAY Sports

The NFL Free Agency period isn't even a week old, but plenty moves have been made across the league, and even with the Pittsburgh Steelers. Despite the Steelers only bringing in one new name, the team made several moves to keep their own players before becoming Unrestricted Free Agents.

A quick recap of the Steelers moves made in the past week:

  • Signed safety Robert Golden to a 3-year contract.
  • Signed wide receiver Darrius Heyward-Bey to a 3-year contract.
  • Came to terms on a 3-year contract with cornerback William Gay.
  • Agreed to a 3-year contract for guard Ramon Foster.
  • Signed UFA Ladarius Green to a 4-year contract.

So, although that list doesn't scream activity in the early hours of free agency, the team was plenty busy preparing the team for the 2016 season. Holes were filled, but there are still players, some of their own, who could be added at the right price to help the team try and climb that fabled 'Stairway to Seven'.

How would you grade the Steelers' first few days of Free Agency? Let us know by voting in the poll below, and feel free to explain yourself in the comment section below.
