First let me say congrats on being 2-0 and, thanks for beating Washington. I hope both teams have no new names to the injury report on Monday and we get a good football game.
I'd like to give your comunity a chance to ask questions reguarding the Eagles and how they have played this year. Some basics: The Eagles defense has payed outstanding so far. Through two games have only surrendered 17 points with 7 of those resulting from a bad PI call. The D Line has been fantastic lead by Cox and Graham knocking both starting QBs out of the game and getting pressure more often than not. The LB corps has been productive with Hicks in the middle picking up where he left off last season. The secondary is a tail of two positions CB is a bit of a weakness due to an injury and lack of top end talent but, safety play has been great not letting players get behind them. The O Line has issues in the middle starting at center with Kelce being undersized in a man blocking scheme however, the play on the edge has been at least par. The TE is a position of strength going into the season with three viable options although they have not all been healthy together yet Doug has used a backup tackle in place of a TE for 3 TE sets. WO is lead by J. Matthews and a pleasant surprise Nelson Agholor rebounding after a weak rookie year, I would like to see less dropped passes but, every team could say that. RB has good depth lead by R. Mathews and although the yards haven't been plentyfull production is there. Special teams historically has been a strength the last few years although they did give up a punt return last week. Something to keep an eye on is kicker he was injured last week after hitting a 53 yard FG. Doug went for it on 4th down forgoing what amounted to a chip shot field goal & a 3 score lead.
Anything I'm forgetting?... Ah yeah this kid Carson Wentz can play. Comes from a pro style system in NDSU that made the transition into the NFL very smooth to say the least. He has a big arm but, dosen't use it on every throw (AKA Mike Vick who had no touch). He is very athletic and will get outside the pocket keeping his eyes downfield. His deep shots have come against 1-1 coverage outside hitting the Reciever in stride more often than not. He has yet to get rattled and will stand in the pocket to deliver a throw with a free rusher inbound. The whole city is in love with him, in fact the only knock I have against him is taking too many big hits.
Aside from next Sunday good luck going forward.
