The Pittsburgh Steelers first two picks in the 2017 NFL Draft are crucial, for a lot of reasons. If they can hit on two solid picks, like they did in 2016 with Artie Burns and Sean Davis, they could be on their way to fixing some issues on the defensive side of the football.
With the 2017 SB Nation blogger’s draft upon us, I asked you, the loyal readers of BTSC, your thoughts on our first round selection. After taking in your thoughts and input, along with speaking with our Nicholas Martin, we decided to go with a cornerback in Round 1.
Our pick was Ohio State CB Gareon Conley.
To be honest, we never felt some of the EDGE rushers who were still on the board were worth a first round pick. So, after a week or so, the Steelers are back on the clock in the second round.
Take a look at who is still available below, and let us know who your second round pick would be. No guarantee we will all agree, but it creates genuine discussion. We will be making our selection early afternoon Wednesday, so get your thoughts in the comment section sooner than later!
