The Pittsburgh Steelers slowly pick themselves up off the mat after the death of chairman Dan Rooney, and have continued their preparation for the upcoming 2017 NFL Draft.
There were more defenders visiting the UPMC Rooney Headquarters Wednesday, and as pointed out by Chris Adamski of the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review, over the past two years (64 pre-draft visits) 75-percent of those visits have been defenders.
Take a look at the visitors today:
Visiting the Steelers on Wed: LB Pita Taumoepenu from Utah; DE Francis Kallon from Georgia Tech; DE Patrick Gamble fromGeorgia Tech

The latest wave of prospects includes Utah linebacker Pita Taumoepenu, Georgia Tech defensive end Francis Kallon and Georgia Tech defensive end Patrick Gamble.
None of these prospects are considered first day prospects, or even day 2 prospects, but it just goes to show how the Steelers are doing their homework on late round draft selections who could pay dividends down the road.
Think of a player like L.T. Walton, a sixth round draft pick. Once forgotten along the defensive line, Walton proved himself more than capable to be quality depth down the stretch when the team lost Cam Heyward for the season with a torn pectoral muscle.
