2017 NFL Draft: 1st round predictions for all 32 teams, with trades

The NFL Draft is so unpredictable but this year in particular you’d probably have better odds of winning the lottery than predicting the entire top 10.

NFL: 2015 NFL Draft Dennis Wierzbicki-USA TODAY Sports

When it comes the NFL Draft normally we have a pretty good idea of what the top 10 might look like but this year...jeez. This is a tough year for predicting the draft because when it comes to this class, there’s a lot of top 15, 20 to 50 talent, but there is not a lot of players that would be labeled as “top 10 type talents.”

The only pick that is essentially set in stone is Myles Garrett going number 1 to the Cleveland Browns. There is absolutely no way Cleveland overthinks this and takes Mitchell Trubisky at number 1, and I’ve started to believe that Cleveland is actually setting a smokescreen to drive his value up so he goes in front of them.

Crazy, but something that was brought up to me by a good friend and I’ve started to believe it. Anyway, let’s go ahead and try the equivalent of winning the lottery by predicting the first round.

  1. Cleveland Browns (1-15): Myles Garrett
  2. San Francisco 49ers (2-14): Christian McCaffrey
  3. Chicago Bears (3-13): Marshon Lattimore
  4. Jacksonville Jaguars (3-13): OJ Howard
  5. Tennessee Titans - from Los Angeles Rams (4-12): Haason Reddick
  6. *Predicted trade with Jets New Orleans Saints (7-9): Patrick Mahomes
  7. Los Angeles Chargers (5-11): Malik Hooker
  8. Carolina Panthers (6-10): Solomon Thomas
  9. Cincinnati Bengals (6-9-1): John Ross
  10. Buffalo Bills (7-9): Mitchell Trubisky
  11. *Predicted trade with Saints New York Jets (5-11): Leonard Fournette
  12. Cleveland Browns - from Philadelphia (7-9): Gareon Conley
  13. Arizona Cardinals (7-8-1): Jamal Adams
  14. Philadelphia Eagles - from Minnesota (8-8): Kevin King
  15. Indianapolis Colts (8-8): Charles Harris
  16. Baltimore Ravens (8-8): Jonathan Allen
  17. Washington Redskins (8-7-1): Forrest Lamp
  18. Tennessee Titans (9-7): David Njoku
  19. Tampa Bay Buccaneers (9-7): Obi Melifonwu
  20. Denver Broncos (9-7): Garrett Bolles
  21. Detroit Lions (9-7) Mike Williams
  22. Miami Dolphins (10-6) TJ Watt
  23. New York Giants (11-5) Tyus Bowser

  25. Houston Texans (9-7): Jabrill Peppers
  26. Seattle Seahawks (10-5-1) Cameron Robinson
  27. Kansas City Chiefs (12-4): Deshaun Watson

  29. Green Bay Packers (10-6): Marlon Humphrey
  30. Pittsburgh Steelers (11-5): Carl Lawson (would prefer Budda Baker)

The draft will probably not go down anything like this, but I gave it a shot. Just how ludicrous are my predictions? Let me know in the comments below.
