Entering the 2017 NFL Draft, the Pittsburgh Steelers had a number of draft needs which they needed to address. Outside linebacker, cornerback, safety, defensive line, running back, wide receiver and even quarterback were positions of need to help the black and gold get to the next level in 2017. There have been numerous thoughts and debates regarding what the team will do with the 30th overall draft pick, and the debate is finally over.
The Steelers have selected outside linebacker Keion Adams from Western Michigan in the seventh, and final, round of the draft.
Adams, who is a tremendous athlete, will be faced with trying to beat out Anthony Chickillo and Arthur Moats for a spot on the team as a depth linebacker. He could certainly help improve his chances by playing solid special teams and buying time for him to improve his craft.
Any remaining needs for the Pittsburgh Steelers will have to be addressed through undrafted free agents, which you can track on our BTSC Free Agent Tracker.
