Entering the 2017 NFL Draft, the Pittsburgh Steelers had a number of draft needs which they needed to address. Outside linebacker, cornerback, safety, defensive line, running back, wide receiver and even quarterback were positions of need to help the black and gold get to the next level in 2017. There have been numerous thoughts and debates regarding what the team will do with the 30th overall draft pick, and the debate is finally over.
The Steelers have selected Colin Holba in the sixth round of the draft.
Yes, you read the previous sentence correctly. The Steelers have spent a sixth round pick, the same round which produced the likes of Tom Brady and Antonio Brown, on a long snapper.
The Pittsburgh Steelers' draft needs in the remaining rounds of the draft now would be considered: tight end, defensive line and safety, the foremost mentioned of the two being the primary concerned.
