If you follow Pittsburgh sports, you know James Conner’s story. Dominant running back who injures knee, only to find he has cancer. Comes back from cancer to be drafted by the team who shares a headquarters with the University of Pittsburgh.
Yeah, if Disney isn’t listening to this movie pitch — they should be.
After the Pittsburgh Steelers made James Conner their third round compensatory draft pick in the 2017 NFL Draft, Conner was beyond ecstatic.
Don’t believe me? Take a look at the video of Conner hearing his name called while being surrounded by family and friends.

What might be even better is the conversation head coach Mike Tomlin has with Conner, who he knows closely from his time at Pitt, when the team called him to tell him they were making him their compensatory pick in the third round.

Needless to say, it seems Conner is unbelievably excited to be a Pittsburgh Steeler, and the Steelers are ridiculously pumped to have him a member of their organization.
