The first wave of Pittsburgh Steelers pre-draft visits were all offensive players. Two quarterbacks and two wide receivers. Seemed odd, considering the growing consensus is the team needs to focus on the defensive side of the ball before the offensive side.
Nonetheless, the Steelers appeased those fans of the fan base with their Tuesday visits being nothing be defenders.

Safety Monte Nicholson from Michigan State, pass rusher Takk McKinley from UCLA, pass rusher Derek Rivers from Youngstown State and cornerback Jourdan Lewis from Michigan were all at the team’s headquarters Tuesday to meet with the coaching staff, and to allow them to get a better glimpse into what makes them tick.
With the visits today, it means 8 of the 30 allowed visits are now officially in the books. If you missed some, you can check on BTSC pre-draft visit tracker to make sure you don’t miss a beat with these visits, as well as a tally of how many players from each position has been brought in.
