As if Pittsburgh Steelers fans weren’t stressing enough about the injuries to Ryan Shazier and Mike Mitchell, there was a new name added to the team’s injury report Friday — Antonio Brown.
The All-Pro wide receiver was added with what the team is calling a toe injury. Brown, who was a full participant in practice Thursday, did not practice, rather received treatment on his injured toe.
If there’s any good news out there, it’s that, reportedly, Brown’s injury isn’t the severe variety, and he’s expected to play this Monday night against the Bengals.
#Steelers star WR Antonio Brown did not practice today because of a toe injury. I’m told it’s minor and he should be fine.

While most Steelers fans don’t trust Ian Rapoport, others, like ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler, have reported the same story regarding the severity of Brown’s injury.
While the loss of Brown would be devastating, the team did have JuJu Smith-Schuster back at practice for the second-straight day, a good sign he’s over the hamstring injury and ready to return to the field vs. Cincinnati.
Fans should remember this is an odd week, with the game being on Monday night. The Steelers have a scheduled practice on Saturday, which will be the final practice of the week, and they’ll announce the official game status of players like Ryan Shazier, Mike Mitchell, Vance McDonald and James Harrison.
It’s safe to say, if Shazier, McDonald and Mitchell don’t practice in some capacity on Saturday, it’s highly unlikely they’ll be available in this AFC North matchup in Week 13.
