The Pittsburgh Steelers and Cleveland Browns will go head-to-head in Week 17 at Heinz Field, and the two teams couldn’t be in more completely different scenarios entering the regular season finale.
The Browns are trying to avoid the second 0-16 season since the Detroit Lions in 2008, and to claim their first win of the season they will be going against plenty of backups for the Steelers.
Ben Roethlisberger, David DeCastro, Cameron Heyward, Maurkice Pouncey and others are all named inactive for Week 17. So, can the Browns beat the Steelers’ backups? That is the ultimate question.
The Steelers have locked up a first round bye in the AFC Playoffs, and could claim home field advantage if they are able to beat the Browns, and the Jets can upset the Patriots. While unlikely the Jets beat the Patriots, many fans are upset the Steelers are essentially throwing up the white flag on the goal of home field advantage.
As for me, I think the Steelers, led by Landry Jones, will do enough to win, and at least keep their hopes of claiming their home field advantage hopes alive and well.
Score prediction:
Steelers - 17
Browns - 14
