Another week, another NFC North opponent for the Pittsburgh Steelers.
After taking care of the Minnesota Vikings 26-9 at Heinz Field in Week 2, the Steelers take their show on the road again to play the Chicago Bears at Soldier Field. Just as the Steelers opened their season in Cleveland, it’s nice to see the team getting another northerly away-game under their belts while Chicago’s weather is still mild.
Most would take an early-season trip to Chicago compared to the wind, cold and snow which often accompanies late-season contests in the Windy City.
Nonetheless, the 2-0 Steelers will play the 0-2 Bears, and Pittsburgh is the early favorite to win. This shouldn’t come as a shock to anyone, but most bettors interested in weekly NFL lines and odds want to know exactly how favored Pittsburgh is over Chicago.
According to the BookMaker sports book, the Steelers/Bears game has opened with the Steelers as 8-point favorites to win on the road. This line certainly could change, and one factor that could completely alter the betting line is who the Bears decide to start at quarterback.
If Mike Glennon remains the starter, the line would likely stay where it is or close to it. But if the Bears decide to turn to Mitch Trubisky, expect a swing in the line. So, if you like the Steelers giving 8-points to the Bears on the road, you might want to get over to the window to place your bet before the line changes.
