With the Steelers traveling to Chicago to clash with the rebuilding Bears, the faculty and staff at BTSC filled out report cards based on the team's performance.

Join us and see just how they graded out.

Offense: D-

Ben is playing like late-career Brett Favre. He doesn't look quite right, especially on the road. I had no problem with the game plan, but the execution wasn’t there. The line was missing a few pieces...so I get it. But a team with great weapons on offense is misfiring badly.

Honor Roll: Antonio Brown

Detention: Ben Roethlisberger, Le'Veon Bell, Martavis Bryant, The O-line

Defense: C-

The good news was that the team held Mike Glennon to 101 yards passing and sacked him twice. The bad news was the run defense let a sleeping dog wake up, eat their dinner and soil their rug. Giving up 220 yards was sickening and they looked like they had given up on that last drive.

Honor Roll: Javon Hargrave, The secondary

Detention: The rush defense

Special Teams: F

Eli Rogers fumbles an early punt that led to a score and there are tons of blame to go around on the blocked field goal. Jordan Berry gets a break for batting the ball away to prevent a TD, but Boswell seemed lackadaisical on the try and the protection broke down.

Honor Roll: Vance McDonald

Detention: Chris Boswell, Eli Rogers, Protection on the field goal unit

Overall: D-

Overall it was a miserable performance. The effort was an F, but the averages keep it at a D-. This was a team that seemed to put more effort into the pregame decision than the game. Plenty of opportunities and most of them were missed.
