Just when you thought the Pittsburgh Steelers injury woes were a thing of 2016, Bud Dupree is now questionable for the game vs. the Cleveland Browns on Sunday. This isn’t to suggest Dupree’s injury is serious, or that he won’t play Sunday, but it seems almost like years ago since Pittsburgh put all of their pieces of the puzzle on the field together, all healthy.
To make matters worse, Dupree’s injury is considered a shoulder injury, but there is some speculation whether it is a shoulder or a re-injury of an ankle issue he had early in training camp.
If there is a silver lining to this cloud, it is how the Steelers are healthy otherwise. The only other injury on their report is to second year tackle Jerald Hawkins, who is out after missing practice this week. Chris Hubbard will likely fill the swing tackle position vs. the Browns.
If Dupree is unable to play Sunday, a combination of Anthony Chickillo and Arthur Moats, and possibly T.J. Watt, would fill in for Dupree.
