The Pittsburgh Steelers and Detroit Lions are only minutes away from their Sunday Night Football Week 8 contest at Ford Field, and before the game gets underway the teams released those who wouldn’t be getting a helmet on gameday.
For Pittsburgh, Stephon Tuitt (back), Marcus Gilbert (hamstring), Vance McDonald (knee) and Martavis Bryant (coaches decision) were ruled out on Friday, leaving just three players up in the air.
See the full list of inactives below:
Steelers inactives: QB Dobbs, WR Bryant, CB Allen, OT Hawkins, OT Gilbert, TE McDonald, DE Tuitt
— Mike Prisuta (@DVEMike) October 29, 2017
No. 5 QB Joshua Dobbs
No. 10 WR Martavis Bryant
No. 29 CB Brian Allen
No. 65 OT Jerald Hawkins
No. 77 OT Marcus Gilbert
No. 89 TE Vance McDonald
No. 91 DE Stephon Tuitt
This means players like Justin Hunter and Arthur Moats, who have both been healthy scratches the past two weeks, will have a chance to make a case for them to continue getting helmets on game day.
As for the Lions inactives...their list is below:
