Steelers Highlight: Relive the Steelers’ goal-line stop vs. the Lions

The Pittsburgh Steelers’ red-zone defense was stout vs. the Lions in Week 8, and this play epitomized the hard-nosed mentality of the Black-and-gold.

The Steelers defense left a lot to be desired in Week 8 against Matthew Stafford and the Lions’ offense, but if there was one saving grace for this Pittsburgh defense it was their red-zone defense.

To be more specific, their goal-line units.

The Steelers’ defense stood tall when it mattered most, stopping the Lions on 4th-and-goal situations on multiple occasions. But the best stop of the day might have come on a 3rd-and-goal play when Javon Hargrave, Vince Williams and Sean Davis annihilated the play from the start.

Check it out in the video below:

The best part of this video? The look on Jim Caldwell’s face after the play failed. Almost as if he had no clue what to do on fourth down.

Such is life in the NFL, and it’s a great day to be a Steelers fan!
