Steelers Injury Report: JuJu Smith-Schuster’s status up-in-the-air before Week 12

New, comments

The Pittsburgh Steelers could be without one of their top new playmakers on Sunday night.

NFL: Cincinnati Bengals at Pittsburgh Steelers Charles LeClaire-USA TODAY Sports

The Pittsburgh Steelers practiced early on Thanksgiving day, but the result of said practice certainly could have an impact on the team this Sunday night when the Packers come to town.

For the second straight day, Vance McDonald (ankle) and JuJu Smith-Schuster (hamstring) did not practice. With only one more day to get onto the practice field, it isn’t looking good for their participation in prime-time at Heinz Field.

In other not-so-good news, Mike Mitchell (ankle), went from a full participant on Wednesday to limited on Thursday. Any type of backwards movement regarding participation is never a good thing. The Friday practice report will be extremely telling when it comes to Mitchell’s status.

Other than those injuries, the Steelers have a relatively clean bill of health. The Packers on the other hand are dealing with several key injuries.

Check out both full injury reports below, and be sure to check back for more news on all these injuries and other notes leading up to prime-time.
