The Pittsburgh Steelers beat the Green Bay Packers in Week 12 on Sunday Night Football, but an injury to a key player could be a cause for concern heading into the Week 13 game against the Cincinnati Bengals.
It should be noted Ryan Shazier did return to the football game, but so did Vance McDonald after he injured his ankle several weeks ago, and he has yet to return to the lineup.
After the game, Mike Tomlin met with media and spoke briefly about the injury to Shazier, and he labeled it as one of the bumps and bruises. More information will be given at his weekly press conference on Tuesday.
The only other injury of note by Tomlin was an ankle injury to left tackle Alejandro Villanueva, who, like Shazier, returned to the game. The team is hopeful to get McDonald and JuJu Smith-Schuster back on the football field to fill out the team’s starting offense for the next round of AFC north competition.
