NFL Odds: Steelers are two-score favorites on the road vs. the Texans

The Pittsburgh Steelers are heavy favorites on the road vs. the lowly Houston Texans.

The Pittsburgh Steelers are coming off of their first loss in more than two months, and as they prepare for the Houston Texans in Week 16 it’s worth noting that Las Vegas is expecting a bounce-back performance from the Black-and-gold.

According to OddShark, the Steelers are 10-point favorites when the team travels to Houston on Christmas Day. With the Texans sitting on a 4-10 record, and Pittsburgh’s loss to the Patriots lingering longer than usual, you can expect the doubters to come out of the woodwork talking “trap game”.

However, if 2017 has shown anything, it’s how the Steelers have won games they might have lost in the past. Think about the wins over the Colts, Packers and Bengals this season. Those are the kinds of games the Steelers have shown they lose under Mike Tomlin but, in 2017, they’re finding ways to win them.

OddShark released the following information on the Steelers vs. Texans matchup in Week 16:

Pittsburgh (-10) at Houston will be the first game of a Christmas doubleheader this Monday afternoon. The Steelers are 3-1 SU and ATS in their last four games against the Texans and 5-0 SU in Monday games. The Texans have lost each of their last six games as a betting underdog.

When you think about these two teams, and where they are now in the season, you have to wonder if a 10-point spread is a little on the low side. Some might disagree, but if you like the Steelers giving 10 points on the road vs. the Texans, you might want to head to the window before the line changes again.
