The Colts started the 2nd quarter with the football, and it didn’t take long for Jacoby Brissett to make the first big play of the game. On play-action, Brissett threw a beautiful 60-yard touchdown pass to Donte Moncrief to give the Colts an early 7-0 lead.
With Pittsburgh’s offense failing to put together a drive, the Colts, and Brissett, continued to have their way with the Steelers’ defense. However, the latest drive didn’t result in a touchdown, but a 48-yard Adam Vinatieri field goal to give the Colts a 10-0 lead with 6-minutes remaining in the first half.
The Steelers defense forced a punt with just under two-minutes remaining in the game and the offense was able to put together a point-scoring drive together; however, it was a Chris Boswell 41-yard field goal, not a touchdown. Nonetheless, the score remained 10-3 heading into halftime.
