Steelers Injury Report: The bye-week worked wonders for the Steelers’ health

The bye-week came at a great time for the Steelers, and they’re a ridiculously healthy team heading into Week 10.

Mike Tomlin said there has never been a bye-week he doesn’t like and, although this is true, a mid-season bye-week has to be one of the more ideal times for a week off.

With the Steelers coming off their bye-week and preparing for the Colts in Week 10, they’re a very healthy bunch. They had several injuries following their Week-8 win over the Lions, but the team is pretty confident heading into Sunday.

How confident? They didn’t even list Vance McDonald (knee), Stephon Tuitt (back) and Marcus Gilbert (hamstring) on the official injury report. James Harrison popped up on the report with a back injury, and Mike Mitchell, who suffered a hamstring injury at the end of the Sunday night contest, was a limited participant on Wednesday’s practice.

The team will likely see how Mitchell’s ankle handles the workload, and practice participation will dictate his availability. If he cannot play, either J.J. Wilcox and/or Robert Golden will fill in for Mitchell alongside Sean Davis.

As for the Colts, you can see both reports in their entirety below:
