Steelers Injury Report: Nothing but good news for Pittsburgh early in Week 5 prep

New, comments

It was all good news for the Steelers as they got back to practice Wednesday preparing for Week 5.

NFL: Pittsburgh Steelers at Chicago Bears Dennis Wierzbicki-USA TODAY Sports

The Pittsburgh Steelers did more than just beat the Ravens in Week 4, they stayed healthy.

Mike Tomlin said it both after the game and in his Tuesday press conference. His team didn’t suffer any setbacks or new additions to their current injury report. On Wednesday, the team got back onto the practice field for the first time this week, and their injury report was full of good news.

Yes, some will see that Sean Davis, Ramon Foster and Stephon Tuitt did not participate, but considering what Tomlin said, combined with all of them playing the entire game in Week 4, I’d be stunned if all weren’t back on Thursday preparing for the Jaguars.

The same can be said about those who were limited participants. It was great to see Marcus Gilbert, Mike Mitchell and James Harrison back on the field Wednesday, all of whom missed Week 4. Barring a setback for Mitchell and Gilbert, it looks as if they’ll both be back in the lineup Sunday at Heinz Field.
